	Current File Transfer Methods
	CD Files are downloaded on to CD media which requires either shipping CD or calling a sales rep to pick up the file. Problems with this protocol: File transfer is not real time. Cost of media and shipping, albeit small. e-mail Files are attached to an e-mail and sent to the sales rep. Problems with this protocol: There is a file size restriction. Due to virus prevention software, some file types commonly used in Print Production are automatically stripped from incoming e-mail messages (zip, gif). FTP Files are uploaded to an FTP site for pick up by the vendor. Problems with this protocol: Not a very secure protocol as a general vendor login is used for authentication. If customer employees leave the company, it is difficult to disable their access.
